Youth Activities
AMVETS Post 1775 and District 1 support the Kids Fishing Derby at Lake Cuyamaca. Fishin' in the Pines Free Kids Derby

SCHOLARSHIPS
The California AMVETS Service Foundation support a scholarship program each year that provides approximately 40 students a year with scholarships for their continued education.

DREAMS UNLIMITED
The AMVETS Department of California supports a grant program for terminally ill children and their families and with this program provide financial assistance through a Dreams Unlimited Grant.

HONORS AWARDS
The AMVETS Department of California recognizes its AMVETS members, AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary members, non-AMVETS members, corporate sponsors, and civilians with various Honors & Awards each year.

PROGRAM REPORTING
The AMVETS Department of California asks that all of its Posts and Ladies Auxiliaries report all of their programs.

STATE PROGRAMS MANUAL
The AMVETS Department of California provides its AMVETS Posts with a manual that references various topics within the Membership and Programs Department.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
All of our members of the AMVETS Department of California understand the importance of volunteering and are active in programs that range from Americanism to community service.

Americanism in the Department of California offers assistance to all commands by providing program information and resources.
