Food Events at the Ship

Wednesday: AFTERNOON, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. Tacos, Taco Salad, and/or Chili. Eat inside or have it prepared to go.
EVENING: Dinners Start at 6:00 p.m. and can be Steak, Roast, Meatloaf, Italian, Mexican Or ????? The meals are mostly prepared by the American Legion. At times, per special announcement, the food is prepared by the other organizations that make up the membership of Veterans Club in La Mesa (VFW, Ladies Auxiliary, and AMVETS).
Live entertainment every Wednesday evening starting at 6:00 p.m..

Friday: Start at 6:00 p.m. and can be Steak, Roast, Meatloaf, Italian, Mexican Or ???? and are mostly prepared by the American Legion. At times, per special announcement, the food is prepared by the other organizations that make up the membership of Veterans Club in La Mesa (VFW, Ladies Auxiliary, and AMVETS). After dinner, lubricate your vocal cords and croon a tune with Karaoke which starts at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 10:00 p.m..

Saturday: Saturday brings in Burgers, Dogs, and remaining food from the week’s offerings. Outdoor Barbecued Hamburgers or cheese burgers, Hot Dogs, Chili Burgers, Chili dogs and of course fresh tomatoes, onions and lettuce.

Sunday: Sunday Mornings FOOD offerings have been DISCONTINUED due to lack of interest and volunteers.

Most holidays a potluck is sponsored by the Ship. Burgers and dogs provided, so make a dish and join us. St Patrick’s Day is one of our special dinners where we offer oven roasted corned beef, red potatoes, Crisp cabbage, carrots and fresh made Irish Soda Bread. ,

At times, we have bus trips to other posts, trips to the baseball or football games, race track, or other locations based on the desires of the membership.
